Porchfield Cricket Club v Ware (Old Hertfordians) Cricket Club Touring XI on Fri 09 Jun 2006 at late as possible
Ware (Old Hertfordians) Cricket Club Lost 4 Wickets
Willow won the toss and confidently chose to bat leading the way himself with another half century. Everyone else chipped in getting the total up to 119 in our 20 overs. A decent looking total on a big ground.
Ware got off to a reasonable start with David trapping the opener in his first over before having to stop half way through his second due to injury. Their 2nd wicket then put on 103 to put them in a comfortable looking position, needing 6 to win in 6 overs with nine wickets in hand. Willow then made an inspired change bringing on Pinky who ripped through the batting, picking up four wickets and getting a caught behind which wasn't given. With Casper picking one from the other end they were under real pressure before they edged home.
